We had lots of fun today, Saturday, May 13th. It started off hectic and kept on going. One of my kindergarten moms needed a computer desk and D wanted to get rid of the one in our room, so she came over late morning, with Summer, to pick it up. Okay, we crossed that off our list. Then it was the bank, the gas station, and the outdoor market to pick up flowers for D's mom for Mother's Day. Phew.
It was bright and sunny, even though the forecast called for rain, so we headed to Temple's End of the Year picnic in Fairmount Park. Yummy food, lovely people, and well, lots of rain! The skies opened up a few minutes after we got there and didn't let up til we left an hour later. But that was okay because Dave's parents and Peter were on their way down from Connecticut to stay the night.
Once D's family arrived, we relaxed for a bit before heading out to Bahama Breeze. The nearest one was across the bridge in Jersey, so that's where we headed. Even though a 25 minute trip turned into a 50 minute one, we didn't mind so much because our call-ahead seats wouldn't be avaliable for an hour. We only had to wait 10 minutes once we got there :). It was the neatest restaurant. Dave said that it felt like we were back on our honeymoon cruise, and it did. An abundance of tropical plants, Hawaiian shirts, rattan wood, and island music completed the Bahaman atmosphere. As you might be able to tell from the first picture, D and I had a great time, ya mon!
After dinner we asked where the nearest Coldstone Creamery was and as fate would have it, it was right around the corner from the restaurant. So we walked over there, got ice cream and sorbet, and sat outside to enjoy the last of the evening. That's us enjoying Coldstone in the second picture :).
Upon crossing back over into familiar PA territory, we showed our guests where D will be for the last two years of med school--Crozer Hospital, we showed them where I work, and we also showed them where we would like to move this summer. This didn't take too long considering these places are all within 2 miles of each other.
After this exhaustingly fun day, I crashed on the air matress and D stayed up til 1am with Peter!

Now I'm curious what this Bahama Breeze place is--you'll have to take us there next time we visit. ;)
