Workin' the Camera

Forgot to post these a few weeks ago. They were taken by Auntie Kristina (M is sitting on Uncle Nick's lap) and sent to me via email. Are you digging the pose? Kristina used the Burst Mode on her very nice SLR camera and was thus able to capture a couple of great pictures of our on-the-move child.

It was these series of shots that started me on the road of wanting a camera with this Burst Mode feature. I haven't been pushing it, but when we were at Best Buy tonight picking out our new Plasma TV (story to follow at a later time...), I casually walked by the camera section and found the perfect one (I didn't buy it there because I knew I could find it cheaper, which I did...at Amazon.com). D might be getting reimbursed for it anyway, but why not stretch free money?! Anyway, I digress. I liked looking at/using the cameras at Best Buy so I could test it out just to see how everything worked before purchasing. It was kind of funny because I had taken Micah out of the carriage by this point so he could walk around and since he was the subject of my pictures, the camera was of course pointed at him. He demonstrated perfectly why I needed such a camera as this because in each successive "burst" shot, he was getting farther and farther away. He was so far away, in fact, that I had to hand the camera to the saleslady to go retrieve him. And this was him walking, if he was crawling, he'd probably be clear across the store crawling up on shelving and chewing on some boxes. Anyway, the camera is cute and compact. I'm still deciding between the green one and the dark grey one.

Oh I love that first picture! It's the perfect smile, seriously :)

I've never heard of that Burst Mode for a camera feature, but it sounds nice, especially if you're trying to get a decent picture of your mobile child.

Hmm, the green sounds nice. I like the colored cameras. Mine is dark brown/burgundy.
