Birthday [Brownie] Cake

On Tuesday, September 15th, one year to the day that Micah Andrew was pulled into this world, we had a mini-party at our house. Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, Ryan, Yana, and Nick were all present (Kristina was working...she had taken Saturday off especially to be at Micah's party, what a great auntie!! and D's parents were away) to eat the brownie-turned-cake I made from Trader Joe's. I set out some other snacks, too, since my family can eat :).

This bib was part of the outfit Uncle Nick and Auntie Kristina got him. And that orange thing is his gDiaper. Have I mentioned that I love them? Well I do.

I'm wearing the necklace that D gave me in the hospital the day after M's birth. It survived a year of being-in-close-proximity-with-an-infant. Hopefully it'll survive many more years!

At exactly 7:49pm, we all sang Happy Birthday to M, who again was awed and puzzled at this funny little tradition. So funny was his reaction, that we all sang it again and enjoyed seeing his reaction a second time. It's the little things... Anyway, it was a quick visit since I had everyone over around 6:30pm and 8ish is M's bedtime. But it was nice to celebrate on his actual birthday and reminisce about what was going on the previous year at that time with people who were there.

M and I visited Auntie Kristina at work earlier that day. He had so much fun jumping on all the beds, a luxury not allowed at home!

Giving the bear kissies. He gives kisses on demand now, much to everyone's delight!

I love his little outfit and bib! He looks so cute!

By the way, thank you for the "goodie bag" you sent Matthew. He loves choo-choos and was delighted to see and play with the items you sent. It was very thoughtful, and I know Matthew appreciates it :)
