Resurrection Day 2010

I got a text mid-afternoon on Friday from D saying he had a surprise for me. He'll come home with cute things for me from time to time, so I was excited but didn't think too much about it. I was completely shocked when he later told me that he would be able to spend Easter with us after all. I guess he had asked a co-worker to switch a few weeks ago and the guy got back to him on Friday saying that yes, he would switch. He didn't tell me about it before because he didn't want me to be disappointed in case it didn't happen (does he know me or what!?). Anyway, he still had to work 8am til 8pm on Saturday and he has to work another Sunday to make up for Easter, but we got to spend a beautiful spring day together with friends and family celebrating Christ's resurrection.

Mom cooked up a delicious meal that actually filled me up for more than an hour...four hours actually. An all time record for the past few weeks. We headed over D's parents house to see Ayyyi (cousin Ari) for a bit before heading back to night church. M was w.i.p.e.d by night's end, poor guy. We all were, actually, but happy to have spent the day together.

So done with pictures (M) and ready for bed, but here are the cousins, looking all cute in their coordinating Easter outfits courtesy of Grammy and Grpa

M wore a gray suit with a lavender shirt and tie. He looked so dapper. D wore a purple tie and I wore a purple dress. And the baby was comfy since the dress was maternity (another courtesy of Mom!)

We all wore purple too. Esther had pink, so she was our little odd gal out :)
