I know I've been doing a few entries on David lately, but I'm just as fascinated with his surgery rotation as he is...well just about anyway. My friend at work just told me today that she has to get surgery on her knee in a few weeks and will be getting it done at the hospital D is working in. So he could potentially scrub in on it, which would be interesting! Anyway, want to know where our $40,000+ per year for medical school goes? Well, here's one example!
This is what D brought home the first week of his surgery rotation. It's a suturing board that they give out to students so they can practice tying knots, both one-handed and two-handed. David has been faithfully practicing tying the afore mentioned knots each night and is really good at it. I can just picture it now, med school toy turned first baby toy...

LOL! I like your comment about a baby toy! Sure hope my surgeons were as diligent about practicing as Dave is!

I didn't know they gave out practice things like that, but it totally makes sense. When it's the real thing, you don't want to hear that the doc is just practicing ;)

That is a cool idea. And yes, I can see your first baby being interested in it, since babies tend to want the things that aren't toys... Ari is always reaching for our cell phones or the TV remotes, lol. ;)
