Typical David

D has plenty of free time this month. He has the next four weeks off in order to study for Step 2 of the USMLE (aka "big test"). So, I came home to this today:

What, you ask, is that? (I asked, too). It's a book holder, duh (D answered). He assured me it only took him 5 minutes to create and he created it so he isn't always hunched over reading. I am forever telling him to sit up so he won't have a hunched back and, well, this was his solution. It's made out of an eBay/USPS mailer box, with a bent paper clip on the stand part so the stand doesn't spread apart. He is so cute. It's so good to have him back home!

Oh and um, by the way, HE GOT INVITED TO INTERVIEW AT HARTFORD HOSPITAL!! The last day of his rotation was Friday and by Monday morning he had received an email inviting him to interview for the program he had just worked in for a month. So we are extending our Christmas vacation to accommodate yet another interview. I've lost track, but I know we are past 10. Go David!

Way to go with all the interviews too.

Great idea with the book stand. I use something similar at work (though it's made of wood, not cardboard, lol)--it really does help alleviate neck strain.

Yay for the interview at Hartford Hospital! Guess that means he'll get a good "grade" for the work he did there--they obviously liked him. :)

Never doubted for a moment that they would love our David and see what a gem they would have in him should he decide to choose them out of the many offers I know are to come! Now, about that house in Farmington for you two......
    Love, Mom F

Dave making a book stand. He reminds me of Dad. When I was younger and was about to get my braces off, Dad used to tell me he could make me a retainer so we didn't have to pay for one. And I don't think he was totally joking either!
