D's graduation party was a huge success thanks to the many hands that went into pulling it off. D's parents were a huge help, my parents were a huge help, and D was actually a big help, too (he set up the tables, chairs, and tent with his brother). I wasn't too sure about the weather, but it was a nice blend of clouds and sun. When it started getting a bit chilly, the sun came out and when it started getting a bit too hot, the clouds rolled back in. Basically everyone who said they'd be there was there...even some people who I didn't know were coming were there. All in all it seemed that everyone had a good time socializing and eating, eating, eating. Mom and I counted at one point and there were at least sixty people. I, for one, had a very enjoyable time and was excited to see all of our friends and family again in one place! :)
Now for the pictures...
We just had to get this shirt for him. See how the "T" is the Temple logo? Someone was being quite clever!

People were overly generous in the cards and gifts to David. Baby even got in on the action when D's Mom got him his own doctor kit and set of scrubs. You can kind of see the scrubs here...they are adorable!!

We're not completely happy...no reason to be... ;)

I set up this table of med school odds and ends for people to take a look at. It displayed D's diploma, a slideshow of graduation pics from the day before, pics from his White Coat Ceremony in '04, his two green tassles (from college and med school), and a few doctor trinkets here and there.

People, people, everywhere!!

A friend of D's family made this cake. Isn't it beautiful? And it was absolutely delicious!!!

Family Photo Opportunity

D's family was especially supportive and wore Temple colors...some knowingly and some not, but they all looked rather cute together!

D's other job was to pick up the carnations I wanted to use to decorate the tables and he also came home with these four white roses for me. One for each year of medical school. I'm not very emotional, but these did it. Just that he thought of it himself and the meaning behind it all. Very sweet. He's a keeper for sure.

Mom put all the cards D got on the table for some added decoration. What a fun way to celebrate such an awesome accomplishment!!!!

The party was fabulous. I mean, hey, when a toddler can have a great time for hours with no meltdowns, you know it's a good party. ;)
The roses were so sweet. Go, Dave!
