D noticed how the sun cast the inscription on the inside of his ring on the counter. It says "DK-JF."
I made my own pasta last Sunday. It was quite easy and quite yummy. I "soaked" the dough overnight, divided it into four sections, flattened it with the pasta maker and used the fettuccine setting to make all that pasta goodness. The pasta maker was passed from my great-great aunt to my grandma (her aunt) who gave it to my dad who let me borrow it. They have attachments for stand mixers that Dad might be getting, so I just might be inheriting this little guy :). Next I want to try my hand at homemade soaked tortillas. They're exceptionally easy with a tortilla maker, which I have yet to purchase. It'll be a good investment because we have pasta every Sunday after church (I change up the sauces) and we have quesadillas every Sunday after night church. Making both would save lots of money...especially with the little eater we have on hand!
We had such a fun, relaxing (after dinner) Thanksgiving day. D videoed it all and made a time-lapse video out of it. I'll put it up in my Thanksgiving post. For now, Little Man is done amusing himself in his crib (which he does quite well, might I add. He'll be in there for up to 45 minutes talking and playing all on his own!) and D and I are ready for lunch!

Share your soaking pasta recipe and soaking tortilla recipe! I'd love to try them. I don't have a pasta maker, although I'm on the lookout for a sale for the pasta attachment for my mixer.

Cool how it reflects on the counter!
