Shopping Spreeeeee!!!

A friend from church who can only be described as extremely generous and beyond thoughtful took me out on Friday night while D was at the hospital. We went out for a pizza dinner, then hit the stores. Our first stop was Old Navy whose Maternity section was sorely lacking, but I did manage to find a shirt that ended up being my favorite. So we went to the mall to see what Motherhood Maternity had in stock. Before we got there, though, there was another store, Charlotte Russe, we stopped in. It didn't have maternity clothes in it, but the current style almost looks maternity-clothes like so I found an outfit there. Then came Motherhood Maternity and she went wild. I was totally satisfied with the clothing items I already had, but I went home with a big bag full of more clothing.

I felt the least I could do was buy her a coffee, so we went to Starbucks. Very small in comparison, but it was the perfect ending to a busy night.

Here's my favorite shirt. It's a mama giraffe with her baby. I love the picture and I love the colors. Can't wait til the weather is nice so I can wear it!

Yeh, I wasn't too impressed with Old Navy's maternity clothes, but I did find a couple tank tops that I loved. And my fave pair of maternity jeans came from Old Navy. I love the shirt you got! I saw one there once that had a big heart on it and said "filled with love"--I thought it was so sweet.

I love Motherhood Maternity's clothes--they have nice stuff! That's so great that your friend did that for you. :)

Cute shirt--it looks very comfy. I found three tops at Old Navy, and that was it. And I totally had issues finding good maternity jeans. I much prefer to wear my khakis, sweats, or black pants instead. One pair of jeans I have is too big, so I constantly have to pull them up. And the other pair I have fits good, but there's no stretch to them, so they aren't comfortable unless you are in a couple positions. And plus, it's hard to fit a body that's constantly growing. Good luck to you!

Your friend is very kind. But I know from experience how much fun it is to do something like that for someone. I can't wait to see you in the maternity clothes because that will mean my granchild is getting bigger and bigger! Love, Mom F aka Grandma F
