Baby Gifts...Already!

Anyone who knows David's mom knows how generous she is, and even her future grandchild falls under that generosity. D and I received this package of goodies yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed looking through all the items:

I love the little outfit because it has a cute little bunny and a cute little teddy bear on it. I've been thinking about nursery themes because at this point we aren't going to find out what we are having, which means the nursery will need to be neutral. But the more I think about it, the more I think that the nursery is going to be neutral either way because baby bedding is so incredibly expensive!! I can't see us overhauling the nursery every time we have another child, especially considering both the time and the money that would go into it. And I don't want a green or yellow nursery...I know I can be more creative than that. Anyway, all that to say that I'm thinking of a teddy bear or a little lamb theme and the outfit re-reminded me of that!

And not only is D's mom so generous, but others have been so excited for us that it has spilled over into fun, baby-related things. I don't even want to think about the pile of maternity clothes that I know is already accumulating in my mother's closet. Or the diapers (yes, already!!) that she said she will be buying with the coupon she cut out today. I told her that the coupon would be expired by the time I would need it, to which she said, "That's why I'll be getting them before that!" And the couple from church whose big, beautiful house we always go over has been overly excited for us, too. She offered to take me out to dinner, while D is at the hospital one night, and then take me shopping for a maternity outfit. It's cute how excited everyone is, including David...stay tuned for a post about what he's making me do...

Hmm, I seem to remember getting a similar package soon after I told Mom we were pregnant, minus the doctor-themed stuff of course :)

A teddy bear theme is a cute idea! There's tons of good ideas out there, whether it's using a certain animal or color scheme or pattern. If you can think it up, chances are it's been done somewhere :)

Maternity clothes are fun to shop for. And they are fun to wear, until you get near the end, when you're tired of wearing the same things over and over, yet you don't want to buy anymore cause you'll be having the baby soon. That's where I'm at right now :).

Hmm, what is Doctor Dave up to? I'm intrigued...

Please don't keep us in suspense! What is Dave doing?

We received similar gift from Dad and Mom! Isn't it fun?!!?

The generous side of most people come out when a baby is involved! IT's nice, that a little miracle can work another miracle. Don't you think?

    I think you'll have a nice theme!
