So pretty much everyone and their mother, whether they care or not, know about this pregnancy. This, thanks to our parents and David himself. Everytime I talk to Mom, which is often, she tells me what so-and-so said when she told him or her the news. And David was so excited to tell people that he told everyone we knew at church and then emailed our friends who have since moved away. He said that he was feeling a little left out because everyone was calling to congratulate me (even though they said to tell him congrats, too). But, I pointed out, everyone who called me was from my side of the family. It'd be kind of weird for them to call him and not me -- so that reasoning and being able to tell everyone else brought him into the thick of things.
Two of our church friends said the news was no surprise to them, which surprised me. We went out to eat with one couple (and their two-year-old) before they left for deputation and she told him, after lunch was over and we had parted ways, that I was pregnant. And then we went out to eat with two other couples from our church and one of them asked the other if we were expecting. We hadn't told anyone at this point, so the answer was no. Odd. They have exceptional sixth senses. Anyway, people here are happy for us, but sad they won't get to see the baby. We've already had a few self-invitations to wherever we are come September.
In other news, I'm in the middle of designing D's graduation invitation. His parents, my parents, and I are throwing him a graduation party to celebrate all his hard work and his accomplishments...and it's a great excuse to eat good food and visit with our friends and family! I have the stationary all picked out, but I want to shop around to see if I can get a better price. Next week will bring the countdown to double-digits---ahhh!! So I'm excited...just a little...not too much... :) :) :)

I cannot believe we are already talking Dave's graduation. It really doesn't seem as if you two have been in Philly for almost 4 years already. I am looking forward to his graduation and even more so to your move back to CT.

I love it when people know ahead of people that they are going to be pregnant or are pregant and they don't even know it.
When we were in CT over Christmas holiday, I told Steve that I was sure that you were pregnant. He asked me how I knew? My reply, "I just know". Crazy, isn't it?! We are so excited for you guys!

Of course everyone's excited!! Babies are always good news!! Wow, I can't believe how close Dave's graduation is! When you first went to Philly I thought you 2 would be away forever! Now you'll be coming home soon but instead of 2 of you there's 3!!

Nothing spreads faster than pregnancy news. I remember when I was pregnant, I got gifts from so many people--even people that didn't really know me! For example, people that knew Mom and Dad, and just knew that I was their daughter. A baby really brings out the generosity in people.
I can't believe Dave is graduating so soon! What a busy year this is going to be for our family... Mary's baby, Dave's graduation, then your baby. Plus you have your brother's weddings. Your pregnancy is going to fly by! :)
