It's a good thing Dave said something. I was randomly thinking about Daylight Savings on my way to work one morning this week, mainly about how it should be coming up shortly and that I should figure out how shortly. But, of course, once I step into work I'm in a whole other world, so I forgot. Then D mentions yesterday about how Daylight Savings is this weekend. Mystery solved! I guess we were on the same wavelength...scary! So for anyone who needs reminding:
This Sunday, October 29th at 2am set your clocks back one hour.
We always set the clocks back/ahead before bed on Saturday night, but I remember one year, when we were little, my parents forgot. It had to have been when we were supposed to "spring ahead" because it was Easter Sunday. We walk into our old church carrying breakfast items for the 9am Easter Breakfast our church always had. Strangely it looked like everyone was cleaning up and heading upstairs. It wasn't so odd considering it was really 10am and Sunday School would be starting shortly. I'll never forget the look on my mom's face as we were walking to the kitchen with the food she had brought and her friend, the pastor's wife no less, broke into a belly laugh. Then it all clicked with my mom and she started laughing. I wasn't laughing, though, I was hungry!

LOL there's always someone in church that that happens to. We always joke around that when we "fall back" we should avoid reminding those people who are always late--then they'd be on time! :)

Okay, for 45 out of my 46 years I have been doing the spring ahead/fall back thing correctly, so I think that is a good batting average.....missing breakfast not withstanding!
