I was going through the pile of blankets we have accumulated in our two plus years of marriage the other night with the intent of changing our bedding over to the appropriate Fall setup. Included in this pile was the handmade quilt Mom had made us for our wedding...except we got it around our one year anniversary. Not that I am blaming her for this discrepancy in time. She said she'd have to sneak time in while I was still living at home and then worked on it a lot more once we moved to Philly. So I thought I'd share her handiwork...D and I went to the Oakdale Theater on our first date to see 42nd Street. The Bible verse Mom chose to go along with it is, "...they rushed with one accord into the theatre..." Acts14:24b
Next on the timeline, engaged in NYC, "And I will betroth thee unto me forver." Hosea 2:19
July 9, 2004, yay! Is it bad that I always want to say July 10th? "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth favor of the Lord." Proverbs 18:22. Mom even sewed a key onto the heart. Get it? Key to my heart...
Here is a map of the Western Caribbean where we went on our honeymoon cruise. Mom secretly saved two of the beads from the braids I had done in Belize and sewed them on! "And finding a ship sailing ..., we went aboard and set forth." Acts 21:2
Our future home. "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it." Psalm 127:1
We moved to Philly in August of 2004, but I think Mom wants us to move to back to Connecticut when we're done here..."Tarry here today also, and tomorrow I will let thee depart." II Samuel 11:18
Dave is the Temple School of Medicine Class of 2008, then you can call him Dr. Dave! :) "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." Proverbs 17:22
With my teaching degree from CCSU, I got my first teaching job here in PA. "I will instruct thee and teach thee..." Psalm 32:8
Our life verse(s), Jeremiah 29:11-13
Here it is all together:
