"525,000 moments so dear..."

Yes, the picture is blurred to protect the identities of my kindergartners -- pardon me, of my former kindergartners. I can't believe the year is over. It sounds like such a cliche, but I seriously can't believe I have concluded my second year of teaching already. I feel like it could still be March and I wouldn't be fazed by the fact that 2 1/2 months of school remain. However, that is not the case and another successful year of kindergarten is on the books! Our program consisted of a poem, a PowerPoint slideshow with pictures of the kids throughout the year matched to Robert Fulghum's, "All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten." My mom said there wasn't a dry eye in the place, mine included. Our program also included the kids singing Seasons of Love from Rent, as well as doing hand motions (as seen in the picture) to the words. Too cute. Kindergarten diplomas were handed out, along with a class yearbook I had made and Dr. Seuss' Oh the Places You'll Go. Dr. Seuss is the man, he helped me out tremendously this year! It was great having my parents there. Dad was doing his thing with the videotape and Mom was being her ever-helpful self. She was in charge of Dougie, who made quite the hit in his graduation hat. Without starting in on all of the memories I have of our year together, it is sufficed to say that I will certainly miss this class of 2006. Posted by Picasa

Awww. :) Hey congrats on the new apt too! I'd offer to help you move, but you know, I think I might be a little busy by then... ;)
