Atlantic City, Part 1

Silly us, we weren't due in Atlantic City for another week...however, my parents were going there on Sunday when they left us here in Philly. So we said our sad goodbyes, well at least my mom and I were a bit sadden, and went our separate ways. Not fifteen mintues later we get a phone call from Mom inviting us to AC for the day. Hmm, let me think: D was completely done studying because his test was the following day and he wanted a break. Kindergarten graduation was Friday, so I didn't need to do anything for class on Monday. Yep, we were free! We got ready rather quickly and headed out to meet them on the Boardwalk. It was such a beautiful day and the drive was only an hour long. Dad and Mom met us at the Trump Plaza hotel and we started our day from there. Shortly after entering the Boardwalk, an entertainer was making things out of balloons so we joined a gathering crowd to watch. Clever little fellow. He made an orange and blue flower (a girl would have never matched those two colors together!) that I ended up with. It was cool for the first five minutes, but then it got bulky and awkard and I think D ended up decorating a garbage can with it. It was the thought that counted. After walking up and down a section of the Boardwalk, we settled on a buffet place for lunch. YUMMY! We then rolled outselves back to the hotel room for a short break and decided to check out where we will be staying this weekend when we go. It looks like a good, safe place and the receptionist told us that we had an oceanview with a balcony. No complaints there. The beach looked inviting so we all strolled back towards my parents' hotel on the sand. I hadn't seen the Atlantic in a few years and it hasn't changed much. It's still wet and mesmerizing. Although I forgot how tough it can be to walk on sand. My legs are still reminding me of that fact. All in all it was such a fun, spontaneous day. It kept David's mind off of his test and made him sufficently tired for a good night's rest. Who knows, we just may have found the key to aceing a really hard test...I'll let you know when D gets his score back. Posted by Picasa

I love how you say that I ended up "decorating a garbage can with it." I can't wait to spend another weekend in AC with my sweetie.
