Moving On

First thing Monday morning, Dave and I went to the Leasing Office to see about putting down a security deposit on the apartment we had seen that weekend. By first thing, I mean they opened at 9:00 and we were there by 9:06. Dave was more relaxed about the whole thing, of course, and wanted to wait until my lunch break to go over there, but, of course, I didn't share the same peace of mind. Therefore, I asked for my lunch break early and it's a good thing! At first the manager gave us a choice between these two apartments in a building towards the front of the complex, and while we weren't thrilled with the location, we would have taken either one. So while we were standing there trying to make a decision, the manager comes back hurriedly and says, "Well good news, you don't have to make a decision. There is only one apartment left and it's in one of the back buildings." Cool and phew! WE GOT THE LAST AVAILABLE APARTMENT! This was supposed to be our back-up apartment complex, but it looks like it would have completely failed in that capacity. Anyway, I like being in one of the back buildings because we will be making good use of our third floor balcony and it'll be a bit more private in the back. We will be moving towards the end of August...but don't think that hasn't stopped me from getting a few boxes already. My parents are here this weekend and they insist that we have way too much stuff for our apartment and find it funny that we have to pack everything up, move it all, and then unpack it all. What I find funny is how they found everything they needed this weekend in our overstuffed apartment.
